 Emily Raszler graduated from the University of Portland Honors Program in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She went on to earn her juris doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law in 2019.
While attending law school at the UW, Ms. Raszler participated in the Innocence Project Northwest Advocacy Clinic, working to get a bill passed in the state legislature that would help prevent wrongful convictions. During the summers, Ms. Raszler clerked for the Washington State Attorney General’s Torts Division and United States Senator Patty Murray's General Counsel for the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee in Washington, D.C. After graduation, Emily served as a legislative assistant for Seattle City Councilmember Sally Bagshaw and Washington State Representative Drew Hansen.
In 2020, Ms. Raszler realized she wanted to use her law degree to help families more directly and started practicing family law. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association.
Ms. Raszler was born and raised in Poulsbo, WA and now lives in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, gardening, and baking. |
